Craftsmen Industries has grown from 10 employees in 1982, to 50 in 1994 and in 2007 to over 200 employees. Craftsmen Industries was founded in 1982 on Howard Street in St. Louis, MO. From the earliest days the company repaired trailers and customized vehicles. In 1985 Craftsmen purchased the first computer driven vinyl cutting machine for display and vehicle decals. Customers throughout the early 1990’s were calling on Craftsmen to build and customize their vehicles including graphics. The company continued to grow.
By 1993 Craftsmen was ready for a move to larger facilities in St. Charles, Missouri. January 2000 saw the company build a new facility, again in St. Charles, together both facilities occupy over 179,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and office space. In 2000, a 3D fiberglass department was added to service the needs of the company’s growing mobile marketing clients.
2007 also included a new high end printer for vehicle graphics call the TurboJet.
